Tourism industry stakeholders alongside the Saint Lucia Tourist Board enjoyed a week-long series of events during the fourth annual Saint Lucia Showcase 2016 held from 28-31 July. This event brought together key tourism partners from the United States, Canada and Saint Lucia.
The main objective was the forging of new business partnerships and building product knowledge among those who sell Saint Lucia through a destination exploration experience. Productive meetings were held by hotels, destination management companies and the tourism board with major tour operators from North America that sell Saint Lucia as one of their primary destinations.
The leading tour operators from the United States and Canada were recognized and awarded during the Showcase, these included Air Canada Vacations, Expedia and Apple Leisure Group. This year’s event was a success and the Director of Tourism Louis Lewis said, “The Saint Lucia Tourist Board is committed to working effectively with these valued partners and we remain focused on providing the necessary platforms to foster meaningful conversations that support the enhancement of visitation to Saint Lucia.”
