Roots and Soul Festival in Saint Lucia
There’s a new music festival to experience in the Caribbean this summer: Roots and Soul. The festival, part of St. Lucia’s new “Soleil Summer Festival”, is dedicated to musicians who are setting new trends in reggae, conscious, hip-hop, Afro-punk and R&B.
Festival Line Up
The two-day event takes place June 17-18 at the iconic Pigeon Island National Landmark and will be headlined by Grammy-winning reggae legends Morgan Heritage. Saturday, June 17 lineup will feature artists including Chrycee ft Dynamics Band, Kayo, Fourth World and Jamaican sensation, Christopher Martin. Sunday, June 18 lineup will include Diana Philip, Rob Zii Taylor and Phyness, American crooner, Musiq Soulchild and Etana.
This event will include a professional marketplace that brings together musicians, record labels, online music stores and platforms, specialized journalists and other actors in order to enhance market access for Saint Lucian and other musicians and producers.
