Bottom Fishing in St. Lucia
We took a moment to experience the new and exciting St. Lucia Bottom Fishing excursion – an activity for everyone, beginner or pro. Our trip began with a sail from Ganter’s Bay to the calm waters of a reef off the coast. We waited patiently with our rods casted out until a great opportunity presented itself. There was much excitement as Cheryl, our destination representative, was the first to lure the fishes onto her hook.
We ventured further to the north of the island where Carleen, another team member, used Chris’ special rod to catch plenty fishes. It was astounding to see non-fishers like ourselves catching as many fishes as a daily fisherman. We certainly learnt a lot in these few hours with the assistance of deckhands who were on the boat to help us bait and reel in our catch. On our journey back, we got a chance to enjoy an amazing sunset – what a great way to end the day.
